Week 9 NFL predictions

Week 8 served me pretty well. I didn’t get double digit wins, but I did do pretty solid. 8-4 is okay in my book. My record now stands at 65-47.

Goal record for after week 9: 75-49. (I don’t know if i’ll be able to do it, but i’d be stoked if I could.)

Let’s get this thing going.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills

Winner – Kansas City

If Jeff Tuel wasn’t starting for the Bills, I probably would have taken them. I just feel like Kansas City is due for a loss, but i’ll pick them to continue their win streak because of the Bills quarterback situation.

Atlanta Falcons vs. Carolina Panthers

Winner – Atlanta

How bad do the Falcons look? I’ll tell you how bad they look. They look awful, absolutely awful. But this game just seems like a trap game for the Panthers if you ask me. They’re on a little run and at home. They almost have to expect to win against a depleted Atlanta team, right? I’m thinking Atlanta wins against the Panthers in my upset game of the week.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Dallas Cowboys

Winner – Dallas

Despite their late-game losses, Dallas has been a pretty solid team all year. If they could fix the back-end of their defense, they could be legitimately good. With that being said, the Cowboys should be able to get a win against a weak Minnesota team.

New Orleans Saints vs. New York Jets

Winner – New Orleans

The Jets have blown away my expectations this season. I never thought that they would be 4-4 at the halfway point. Rex Ryan deserves to be praised for the way he has this football team playing right now, especially that nasty defense! I still don’t think they’ll be good enough to beat the Saints, though. Stopping Drew Brees isn’t easy. Saints win.

Tennessee Titans vs. St. Louis Rams

Winner – Tennessee

I just don’t think that the Rams have a good enough quarterback to be competitive, which is upsetting because Sam Bradford was having his best season as a pro before going down for the year with an injury. I think the Titans get the W.

San Diego Chargers vs. Washington Redskins

Winner – Washington

I’m really conflicted with this game. I feel as if it could go either way. Both teams are incredibly inconsistent. I’m taking the Redskins at home.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Oakland Raiders

Winner – Oakland

Terrelle Pryor makes the Raiders more dynamic on offense. His big-play ability makes defenses have to worry about the threat of him running. The last thing you want to do as a defender is second guess yourself, that’s how you make mistakes. I think Oakland will win, but not by much.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Seattle Seahawks

Winner – Seattle

The 0-7 Buccaneers square off against the 7-1 Seahawks. It should be an easy win for Seattle at home. (It would probably be an easy win for them if they were in Tampa Bay, too.) Seattle should win, and win handily.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Cleveland Browns

Winner – Baltimore

The Cleveland Browns are playing hard, but, much like the Bills & Rams, don’t have the QB to close the deal. I have Baltimore edging out the Browns in Cleveland.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New England Patriots

Winner – New England

Is this finally the week that Tom Brady and the Patriots get their offense going? I think it is. Amendola is healthy. Gronk has had a few weeks to settle into the offense. And Brady should be getting used to his new receivers. Patriots over the Steelers in Fox Borough, or at least I think so.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans

Winner – Indianapolis

A lot of people, including myself, picked the Texans to win the AFC South in the preseason. The Texans haven’t lived up to their preseason hype. The Colts on the other hand, have outplayed expectations. The division is truly theirs to lose. Can they continue to play at a high level without Reggie Wayne? We’ll have to wait and see. But for now, I have them winning against the Texans in Houston.

Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers

Winner – Green Bay

The Bears are still without Jay Cutler, which severely hurts their chances against Green Bay. I’m taking Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers over the Chicago Bears.

So, what do you think? Any picks that you would change? Let me know in the comment section!

Week 8 NFL Predictions

Much like the last few weeks, i’m still without a charger. It’s pretty upsetting, honestly. My demon of a cat destroyed 3 macbook chargers in 24-hours. It’s awful. Thanks to that, i’m rocking a 14% charge, which means i’ll be doing the same thing that I did the past few weeks.

But on the bright side, I went 10-4 last week, which brings me to a respectable 57-43 on the year.

Here are my picks for the week!

Dallas @ Detroit – Dallas

San Francisco @ Jacksonville – San Francisco

Cleveland @ Kansas City – Kansas City

Miami @ New England – New England

Buffalo @ New Orleans – New Orleans

New York (Giants) @ Philadelphia – Philadelphia

New York (Jets) @ Cincinnati – Cincinnati

Pittsburgh @ Oakland – Pittsburgh

Atlanta @ Arizona – Atlanta

Washington @ Denver – Denver

Green Bay @ Minnesota – Green Bay

Seattle @ St. Louis – Seattle

Well there are the picks, a little boring, but there they are! Wish me the best of luck!

Week 6 NFL Predictions

A certain kitten destroyed my laptop charger recently and my battery is very low. This means I won’t be able to go into a lot of detail with my selections this week, but i’ll still give my selections for the slate of games.

Last week wasn’t a very good week for me. I finished 6-7 on the week, which is admittedly awful.

Let’s get things going!

Green Bay Packers vs. Baltimore Ravens

Winner – Green Bay

It should be a good game. I’m picking the Packers to edge out the champs.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Buffalo Bills

Winner – Buffalo

The Bengals have been one of the most inconsistent teams in the league this year, couple that inconsistency with a home game for the Bills and you have a victory for Buffalo.

Detroit Lions vs. Cleveland Browns

Winner – Detroit

The Browns found a spark in Hoyer playing QB, but then, in typical Cleveland Fashion, he got hurt. I’m picking the Lions to beat the Browns in Cleveland.

St. Louis Rams vs. Houston Texans

Winner – Houston

Matt Schaub finally gets things together and Houston beats a weak Rams team.

Oakland Raiders vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Winner – Kansas City

KC is off to an undefeated start and I don’t see Oakland being the team to stop them. Look for KC to keep the wins coming in this divisional game.

Carolina Panthers vs. Minnesota Vikings

Winner – Minnesota

After the terrible incident that involved AP’s child, I expect him to GO OFF against the Panthers. Vikings win behind the legs of Adrian Peterson.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New York Jets

Winner – New York

The Steelers look bad this year and the Jets, surprisingly, look good. I’m picking the Jets at home.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Winner – Tampa Bay

I don’t trust Nick Foles. Tampa Bay sneaks past Philly for the win.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Denver Broncos

Winner – Peyton Denver

The Broncos should win this one easily. I’ll be SHOCKED if the Jags lose by any less than 24.

Tennessee Titans vs. Seattle Seahawks

Winner – Seattle

The Titans simply aren’t the same without Locker. Seahawks win handily at home.

New Orleans Saints vs. New England Patriots

Winner – New Orleans

Drew Brees has his massive tight end and Tom Brady does not. Saints win as Brady’s receivers continue to struggle.

Arizona Cardinals vs. San Francisco 49ers

Winner – San Francisco

This game will be a lot closer than most people think. 49ers take the divisional game by 10.

Washington Redskins vs. Dallas Cowboys

Winner – Washington

The Redskins should be rejuvenated after their bye last week. Washington wins in Dallas.

Indianapolis Colts vs. San Diego Chargers

Winner – Indianapolis

Andrew Luck is having a great season so far, look for that continue against a weak Chargers secondary.

Week 5 NFL game predictions

Week 4 was a solid, but not great, week for me. I finished 9-5 with my weekly picks, that brings me to an overall record of 35-24.

I’m okay, but not ecstatic about my season record so far.

New Orleans Saints vs. Chicago Bears

 Winner – Chicago

If you’ve been reading my weekly picks, you’re well aware that I’m HUGE on Drew Brees & Sean Payton this year, but that doesn’t mean I think they’ll win every week. I’m picking Chicago to win at home today.

New England Patriots vs. Cincinnati Bengals

 Winner – New England

With the Bengals coming off of a tough loss against the Browns, this seems like somewhat of a trap-game for New England, but I still think that Brady can get it done on the road. New England wins and advances to 5-0.

Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers

 Winner – Green Bay

The Packers have 3 things going in their favor today:

1.)  Aaron Rodgers is their QB.

2.)  They’re playing at Lambeau.

3.)  Megatron isn’t suiting up for action.

Those 3 factors point towards a win for Green Bay.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Indianapolis Colts

 Winner – Seattle

In a battle of sophomore quarterbacks, I’m taking Russell Wilson and the Seahawks to edge out Andrew Luck and the Colts. This isn’t a shot at Luck, though. I think that Luck is playing excellent football. This pick is more so a compliment to Seattle and their stellar defense. Seattle wins a close one.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Miami Dolphins

 Winner – Baltimore

The Dolphins started out the season by winning their first 3 games of the year, but faltered against the Saints on Monday night. Don’t be surprised if this is the start of a small slump by an overachieving Miami team. I’m picking Baltimore to edge out the Dolphins in Miami today.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants

 Winner – Giants

Divisional games are always hard to pick, but I’m going with New York in this one. The teams are a combined 1-7 and the division, as a whole, has a record of 4-12. New York would only be a game out of first place if they win & Dallas loses.  Meaning that a 7-9 or 8-8 team might walk away with the NFC East title this year.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. St. Louis Rams

 Winner – St. Louis

Justin Blackmon is back from his 4-game suspension, but it doesn’t really matter. This should be an easy win for the Rams at home.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Tennessee Titans

 Winner – Kansas City

The loss of Jake Locker, who was playing the best football of his professional career, really hurts this team. The offense didn’t have the same spark with Fitzpatrick under center. Couple the Locker injury with how well Andy Reid has the Chiefs playing right now and you have the recipe for a KC victory.

Carolina Panthers vs. Arizona Cardinals

 Winner – Carolina

It should be fun to watch Cam Newton play against a defense that sports Patrick Peterson in their defensive backfield. I foresee Cam having a strong outing against the Cardinals. Carolina sneaks out Arizona by the slimmest of margins and advances to 2-2.

Denver Broncos vs. Dallas Cowboys

 Winner – Denver

Some people have Dallas beating Denver today, but I’m not one of those people. I think Denver will do what they’ve done to every other team this year – dismantle them. Peyton Manning has a remarkable 16 touchdown passes & 0 interceptions. Can Peyton get to 20 touchdowns before he throws his first interception? I think he can and will accomplish that feat today against the Cowboys.

Houston Texans vs. San Francisco 49ers

 Winner – San Francisco

Matt Schaub is desperately trying to prove that he is the quarterback to lead the Texans to the promise land. Unfortunately for Schaub, the 49ers aren’t going to make his life any easier. Schaub struggles again & the Niners get the win at home.

San Diego Chargers vs. Oakland Raiders

 Winner – San Diego

Philip Rivers continues to make his case as one of the top qb’s in the league. His 11 touchdowns are second to only that of Peyton Manning. If the Chargers are able to post 30 points again, they should be able to get out of Oakland with an important division win.

New York Jets vs. Atlanta Falcons

 Winner – Atlanta

The Falcons are better than their 1-3 record and the Jets are worse than their 2-2 record. Basically, I’m trying to say Matty Ice and the Falcons will leave the game with the W.

Week 4 NFL game predictions

Last week I finished a horrendous 6-9. But to be fair, there were a lot of surprise winners last week. The 6-9 slide brings my overall season record to 26-19.

I feel better about todays games, though. Let’s see how I do!

Baltimore Ravens vs. Buffalo Bills

 Winner – Baltimore

The Bills have played teams hard this year, but playing hard doesn’t always translate to wins. The experience of the Ravens should be enough for them to edge out the Bills in Buffalo.

 Cincinnati Bengals vs. Cleveland Browns

 Winner – Cincinnati

It’s a divisional game, so the Browns are likely to keep it closer than most people think. I just don’t think that Cleveland possesses enough talent to win back-to-back games. Cincinnati wins the battle of Ohio by two scores.

 Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions

 Winner – Detroit

A divisional game is never easy to pick, but I’m going with Detroit. The main reason is because they’re the home team. If the game were in Chicago, I would have picked them to win. (I went against this rule in the Cincinnati game.)

 Seattle Seahawks vs. Houston Texans

 Winner – Seattle

The Texans definitely have not played to their full potential this season and are extremely lucky to be sitting at 2-1 after 3 games. Things might get ugly for the Texans if they don’t get things going early.

 Indianapolis Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

 Winner – Indianapolis

I think there is a legitimate chance that the Jags don’t win a game this year. With that being said, I think the Colts get out of Jacksonville with an easy win.

New York Giants vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Winner – Kansas City

I initially picked the Giants to get their first win of the season against the Chiefs, but changed my mind. I had written a pretty lengthy paragraph explaining why, as well. But at the last second, I decided to give the win to KC.

 Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Minnesota Vikings

 Winner – Minnesota

Both teams possess uninspiring offenses, so expect this to be a low scoring affair. The Steelers offense has looked beyond awful this year & the Vikings haven’t looked much better. Making Matt Cassel the starter doesn’t figure to help much, either. I’m taking Minnesota 24-13.

Arizona Cardinals vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

 Winner – Arizona

The benching of Josh Freeman is somewhat mind boggling to me. Glennon clearly doesn’t have the skills, right now at least, to be an NFL starter. The Arizona defense will create problems for the young passer. Arizona wins with a 3 INT performance.

New York Jets vs. Tennessee Titans

 Winner – New York

Surprisingly, the Jets come into this game at 2-1. Their defense is still nasty & Geno has given their offense a spark that Sanchez wasn’t able to. After all is said and done, I expect the Jets to contain CJ2K and walk about of Tennessee with the W.

 Philadelphia Eagles vs. Denver Broncos

 Winner – Denver

Peyton Manning is playing out of this world so far this season. The way that he’s reading defenses almost isn’t even fair. Chip Kelly’s high-speed offense isn’t necessarily a good thing in today’s game. The quicker the Philly offense plays, the quicker Denver gets the ball back and that is not something you want when you’re playing a Peyton Manning football team. Broncos continue to cruise and get out of the game at 4-0.

Washington Redskins vs. Oakland Raiders

Winner – WashingtonI’ve picked Washington twice this year & I was wrong both times. But the fact is this; the Redskins are too good to keep losing. I think today is the day that RG3 & the Redskins defense finally get things going.

Dallas Cowboys vs. San Diego Chargers

 Winner – Dallas

The Chargers can’t seem to hold on to wins, but this is nothing new. The Dallas offense is good enough to claw its way back into games if it has to. I expect the Chargers to take the lead early, but falter down the stretch. Dallas bolts out of San Diego at 3-1.

New England Patriots vs. Atlanta Falcons

 Winner – Atlanta

I hate picking against Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, but sometimes it has to be done. Gronk & Amendola won’t be returning today, which is bad news for New England. At times, it looks like Brady & his young receivers aren’t on the same page. The Falcons are also in a must-win situation. If Atlanta loses, they can pretty much hand the division title to Drew Brees and the Saints.

Miami Dolphins vs. New Orleans Saints

 Winner – New Orleans

The return of Sean Payton has Drew Brees feeling like a kid in a candy store. Ryan Tannehill is also having a solid year as he tries to avoid the sophomore slump. The Dolphins are a much better team than they were last year, but I still don’t think they’re good enough to beat the Saints in the Super Dome on prime time.

Week 3 NFL Game Predictions

I was very pleased with my predictions in week 2. I managed to select 11 out of 15 games correctly, with 3 of my 4 losses coming by 4 or less points. A strong week 2 has propelled me to a record of 20-10 on the year.

I’ll be thrilled if I can get 11 correct again this week. Obviously, I’d be even more thrilled if I can get 15 out 15. It’s not likely, but it doesn’t hurt to dream. So, let’s jump into this and see what we can do.

 Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens

 Winner – Houston

The defending champs will be without their top offensive playmaker on Sunday, as Ray Rice will be riding the pine. The loss of Rice should give the edge to Houston. I think the Texans can close this one out early for once.

New York Giants vs. Carolina Panthers

 Winner – New York

Eli hasn’t looked good this year. Actually let me rephrase that, Eli has looked terrible this year. I think Manning and the gang finally get things together today and walk out of Carolina with the W.

Green Bay Packers vs. Cincinnati Bengals

 Winner – Green Bay

I believe in this Bengals football team, but I don’t think they’re quite ready to take down Green Bay. I think the Packers escape Ohio with the win, but by no more than 10 points.

St. Louis Rams vs. Dallas Cowboys

 Winner – Dallas

I think we’ll see Dallas get things going on offense this week. Bold prediction – Cowboys wins big and Tony Romo throws for 300+ yards with at least 3 touchdowns.

 Cleveland Browns vs. Minnesota Vikings

  Winner – Minnesota

Starting QB? Out. Starting running back? Traded to Indy. I don’t see Minnesota losing to a weak Cleveland team at home. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Browns don’t hit double-digit points today.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New England Patriots

 Winner – Tampa Bay

This is my surprise pick of the week. Do I think that the Patriots are the better team? Yes I do, nut I have a gut feeling that the Bucs pull this one out in Fox Borough.

Arizona Cardinals vs. New Orleans Saints

 Winner – New Orleans

The Saints are 2-0 this year, but their offense has yet to hit it’s stride. I think today is the day that Drew Brees and company get things going on offense. Saints win by 2+ touchdowns.

San Diego Chargers vs. Tennessee Titans

 Winner – San Diego

I like what Philip Rivers has done so far this season. He looks like the QB that everyone knows he is. I think San Diego will bolt out of Tennessee with the win and advance to 2-1.

 Detroit Lions vs. Washington Redskins

 Winner – Washington

The Redskins can’t afford to go 0-3 & I don’t think that they will. I think today is the day that the Washington offense gets things going in the first half.

 Atlanta Falcons vs. Miami Dolphins

 Winner – Atlanta

Atlanta will win this game. Why? Because they have to. Atlanta has to win if they want to stay relevant in the NFC South. (Especially if the Saints win today.)

Buffalo Bills vs. New York Jets

 Winner – New York

2 New York teams, 2 rookie quarterbacks, & 2 wins for the Jets. Geno Smith outperforms E.J. and leads his team to victory.

 Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Seattle Seahawks

 Winner – Seattle

The Jags and the Browns are jocking for position of worst team in the league. On the flipside, the Seahawks are one of the best teams in the league. I foresee the Jags going into Seattle and get absolutely hammered by the Seattle defense.

Indianapolis Colts vs. San Francisco 49ers

 Winner – San Francisco

The Seahawks defeated the 49ers with ease in week 2. But the Colts aren’t the Seahawks and the 49ers are at home (not in the loudest stadium in the league against a division rival). I think that San Fran plays hard & beats the Colts, and their new running back, in week 3.

 Chicago Bears vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

 Winner – Chicago

Admittedly, I won’t be watching this game (unless the SNF staff is nice enough to delay the game during Breaking Bad again). Delay or no delay, Chicago should be able to take care of an awful Steelers team, even if they are in Pittsburgh.

 Oakland Raiders vs. Denver Broncos

 Winner – Denver

Peyton Manning. Peyton Manning. Peyton Manning. Peyton Manning. Peyton Manning. Peyton Manning. Peyton Manning. Peyton Manning. Yeah, I think Denver will win and Peyton will have a fun time in doing so.

What do you think of my picks? Agree or disagree? Be sure to let me know in the comment section below!

WEEK 2 NFL GAME PREDICTIONS (Late games & MNF)

Detroit Lions vs. Arizona Cardinals

 Winner – Detroit

Reggie Bush had the big game last week & I think Calvin has a big game this week.

New Orleans Saints vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

 Winner – New Orleans

New Orleans cruises against a team that found a way to lose to the Jets in week 1.

Denver Broncos vs. New York Giants

 Winner – Broncos

In what might be the final “Manning Bowl,” I think that Peyton has the advantage. I don’t think he’ll go off like he did in week 1, but I do think he’ll throw at least 3 touchdowns in a victory against Eli.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Oakland Raiders

 Winner – Oakland

Terrelle Pryor proved that he’s a legitimate threat in week 1. I think he’ll do much of the same against the Jags in week 2.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Seattle Seahawks

 Winner – San Francisco

I picked against the Niners last week and paid for it. I think San Fran wins by the slimmest of margins.

 Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals

The Steelers looked absolutely awful in week 1. I see the Bengals offense putting up some points against Pittsburgh. Bengals win by more than 2 touchdowns.

Week 2 NFL Game Predictions (Early Games)

In week 1 I finished an unimpressive 9-6 with my picks. And this weeks games look to be just as difficult, but without further a do, here a my predictions for week 2 of the 2013 NFL season.

St. Louis Rams vs. Atlanta Falcons

 Winner – Atlanta

The Falcons can’t afford to slide to 0-2 in a division that is also home to the Saints. The Falcons beat the Rams and come out on top at home.

 Cleveland Browns vs. Baltimore Ravens

 Winner – Baltimore

Baltimore may not have all of the weapons that they once had, but they’re still the defending Super Bowl champs. The Ravens should be good enough to take the game against the Browns.

 Carolina Panthers vs. Buffalo Bills

 Winner – Carolina

Cam Newton struggled throwing the ball last week against the Seahawks, but that’s not all that surprising. Look for Cam to rebound and a have a big week against Buffalo.

 Minnesota Vikings vs. Chicago Bears

 Winner – Chicago

You can’t ALWAYS stop Adrian Peterson. He’s almost a lock to break at least one big play per game, but I think the Bears can bottle him up for MOST of the day. Chicago pulls out the W.

Washington Redskins vs. Green Bay Packers

 Winner – Green Bay

The Redskins defense struggled to stop the offensive attack of Chip Kelly in week 1. The Green Bay offense won’t make it any easier for them, either. I think that Green Bay wins it at Lambeau.

 Tennessee Titans vs. Houston Texans

 Winner – Houston

The Texans orchestrated a nice comeback against the Chargers on Monday night. I think Houston will keep on rolling and put a beat down on the Titans.

 Miami Dolphins vs. Indianapolis Colts

 Winner – Miami

This is my upset pick of the week. I have a gut feeling that Miami steals one from Indy today.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Kansas City Chiefs

 Winner – Kansas City

Andy Reid has a lot of experience playing the Cowboys. I think he finds a way to get the win against his former NFC East rival.

San Diego Chargers vs. Philadelphia Eagles

 Winner – Philadelphia

The defense of San Diego won’t be able to keep up with the fast paced Philly offense. Desean Jackson should have a big day against a weak Chargers secondary.

I was kind of short on time, so I’ll update my blog with the late game picks in a little bit. But, here are my picks for the 1 o’clock games of week 2.

Week 1 NFL Game Predictions

This will be my first entry into a 17-week series. Every Sunday, prior to game time, I’ll release my list of predictions for the slate of Sunday & Monday games. Each week I’ll tally up the wins and losses. At the end of the season, I’ll tally up my total and release my overall record. Let’s do this…

New England Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills

Winner – New England

Tom Brady will be too much for Buffalo to handle.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Carolina Panthers

Winner – Seattle

I think it’ll be a close game, but the Seahawks will separate from the Panthers down the stretch.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Chicago Bears

Winner – Cincinnati

The Bengals high-octane offense will be hard to stop. I predict Marc Trestman gets a loss in his debut as an NFL coach.

Miami Dolphins vs. Cleveland Browns

Winner – Miami

Miami’s off-season spending spree pays off as they defeat Cleveland in week 1.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions

Winner – Detroit

Reggie Bush & Megatron go off against Minnesota. Detroit starts the season 1-0.

Oakland Raiders vs. Indianapolis Colts

Winner – Indianapolis

This Oakland team is absolutely horrible. I’d be shocked if they win more than 4 games this year.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Winner – Kansas City

Andy Reid will win his KC debut against a weak Jacksonville team.

Atlanta Falcons vs. New Orleans Saints

Winner – New Orleans

This game could go either way, so I’ll take the home team.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New York Jets

Winner – Tampa Bay

Always pick against the Jets….unless they’re playing the Raiders.

Tennessee Titans vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Winner – Pittsburgh

This Pittsburgh team isn’t what it used to be. But they still have Roethlisberger, and that should be enough.

Green Bay Packers vs. San Francisco 49ers

Winner – Green Bay

Do you think the Packers forgot about that brutal playoff loss? I sure don’t. Aaron Rodgers will get his revenge today as Green Bay edges out the 49ers.

Arizona Cardinals vs. St. Louis Rams

Winner – Arizona

Palmer and Fitzgerald show off their chemistry and get out of St. Louis with a win.

New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys

Winner – New York

The Giants are undefeated in AT&T stadium. I think that trend continues today.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Washington Redskins

Winner – Washington

Operation patience pays off and RG3 puts on a show against Philly.

Houston Texans vs. San Diego Chargers

Winner – Texans

The Texans passing offense will be too much for the Chargers to handle. Houston is just too good to be beaten by San Diego in week 1.

What do you think? Any picks that you disagree with? Be sure to let me know in the comment section!

Drew, out.

Should the Ravens add another WR?

The Ravens were dealt a major blow to their receiving corps when Jacoby Jones was injured during a punt return on opening night. The speedy Jones was railroaded by a fellow teammate after calling for a fair catch during a punt. Jones is expected to miss a good chunk of time, too.

The loss of Jones leaves Joe Flacco & the Baltimore offense without 3 of their top 5 receiving options from a year ago – Anquan Boldin is in San Francisco and Dennis Pitta is on IR. Without 3 of their major weapons, the Baltimore passing attack, at times, looked dead.

Torrey Smith can’t continue to produce big plays if he is the lone aerial threat that the Ravens possess. Brandon Stokley and Dallas Clark both began to show their age against the Broncos, as they looked sluggish and drained. Baltimore’s offensive performance was also riddled with drops.

Should the Ravens add another WR?

My best solution was Brandon Lloyd, but Jason La Canfora reported that he’s set to retire and call it a career. So who now? T.O.? Probably not. But what about a player like Laurent Robinson?

Robinson, 6’ 2”, has good size and speed – 4.38 40-time. His size and speed would be welcomed to the struggling Ravens passing game with open arms. If Robinson is able to stay healthy, he can be a valuable asset to a team like Baltimore. Obviously he won’t be a full-time starter, but he definitely has the skills to hold down the position until Jones returns.

It’ll be interesting to see if Baltimore makes a move on Robinson in the coming weeks…or any wide receiver for that matter.

Do you think Baltimore should make a move at wide receiver? Or should they stand pat? Be sure to let me know your thoughts in the comment section!
